The lucky fans attending the Super Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, had something to be hyped for beyond the Philadelphia Eagles taking on the Kansas City Chiefs, as they could also splash out on epic cocktails and munchies.

For at least some (honestly, probably, many) of those attending the Big Game, the food and drinks were just as exciting as what was going on down on the field, and any foodies were certainly rewarded… if they were willing to spend some serious cash at the concession stand.

As documented on social media, a New Orleans theme was on display with a $59 cocktail called the Voodoo Magic, which was a mix of Don Julio 1942 and Grand Marnier Cuvée du Centenaire, plus jalapeño syrup, lime juice and mango purée. That’s not all – the cocktail was topped with black magic seasoning and a dehydrated lime wheel for an extra kick.

For those who weren’t quite looking to spend $59 on a cocktail, the Blackberry Lemonade was more modestly priced at $40. This spicy lemonade variation was a simple yet tasty, we’re sure, mix of Crown Royal Blackberry and lemonade.

Let’s face it though, very few were walking away from the Caesars Superdome concessions with just a cocktail – not when there was gourmet game day snacks on offer! Anyone on a budget after that $59 Voodoo Magic could get regular nachos for $10 or even the “ultimate nachos” for $18, or they could treat themselves with elevated versions of the dish.

The real star of this plethora of nacho options was the Super Bowl Ultimate Seafood Nachos, priced $36, where the traditional tortilla chips, decadent cheese, guacamole and all the fixings were jam-packed with Louisiana gulf shrimp and crawfish.

Traditional New Orleans cuisine was available at the general concession stands too, including a spicy Jambalaya for $18, crawfish pie for $14 and an ultimate grilled alligator sausage Po’ Boy for $21. Only in the Big Easy!

Those who’d rather opt for a salad needed to be prepared to pay $100, at least if they were going the luxe route with the Superdome’s Caprese Crab Salad.

Lots of Eagles and Chiefs fans were likely ready for something sweet after Super Bowl ended, albeit for very different reasons. Whether they were ready to celebrate or easing their sorrows, the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding or a Mardis Gras King Cake surely hit the spot.

Somehow, Super Bowl LIX wasn’t entirely about the menu! On the field, Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and their Kansas City Chiefs came up short against MVP Jalen Hurts‘ Philadelphia Eagles in a 40-22 loss.

Kendrick Lamar was joined by special guests SZA and Samuel L. Jackson during the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, and yes, he went there by performing Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” alongside a greatest hits medley that featured “Squabble Up,” “Luther,” and “All the Stars,” among several others.

While Taylor Swift may not have had the best night after getting booed by the live crowd, lots of other famous faces seemingly enjoyed themselves at the Superdome, including Bradley Cooper and Jon Hamm (who introduced the Eagles and Chiefs, respectively, in the pre-game show), Pete Davidson, Kevin Costner, and even Bravo’s Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo (albeit attending separately after their recent split).

Those watching the Super Bowl from the comfort of their own homes saw several unexpected celebrity pairings during the commercials, such as David Beckham and Matt Damon pitching Stella Artois, and the cast of Fast & Furious pausing a race down the Pacific Coast Highway to have some Häagen-Dazs ice cream bars.
