Forget Florida, New Yorkers — the Keystone State has some keys for you.
Republican Sen. Dave McCormick is urging Big Apple residents who are worried about life under democratic socialist Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani — and sick of the Empire State’s high taxes and “losing football teams” — to “come on down” to Pennsylvania’s greener pastures.
“Pennsylvania, where America was born. We’ve got mountains, winning football teams, world-class universities — and no one is going to make you feel unwelcome for loving America, loving freedom and loving your God,” McCormick said in a video obtained exclusively by The Post Monday.
“Forget about the high taxes, the socialists, the losing football teams. If you’re looking for a change of scenery, all you have to do is head west on I-80. The Keystone State is calling. Come on down,” the President Trump-backed lawmaker added.
McCormick’s football reference was an apparent jab at the perpetually losing New York Jets — and the Giants, who axed head coach Brian Daboll Monday after the G-Men’s fourth loss of the season. Both teams are pitifully at the bottom of the NFL standings.
The Philadelphia Eagles, however, crushed the Kansas City Chiefs in February’s Super Bowl LIX — and notched six wins and two losses this season and are in sixth place ahead of Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are also in the top 20 of the league, ranking 14th with five wins and four losses.
McCormick also touted that Pennsylvania is “leading the AI revolution” and “innovating life sciences,” which he said are birthing “tens of thousands of jobs” across multiple sectors in the state.
Since 34-year-old Mamdani’s win last week, other states have been anticipating a New York exodus.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott rejected the anticipated influx and threatened “100% tariffs” on New Yorkers fleeing to the Lone Star State, though it’s unclear how he could even impose that.
Florida also threw out a welcome mat for to attract Wall Street businesses to Boca Raton.
One sheriff in Florida’s Volusia County posted an invite geared toward Big Apple residents or NYPD officers “unhappy with the results” of the election.
Mamdani’s campaign was steeped in fantastical promises of a rent freeze, publicly run grocery stores, and tax hikes on the city’s wealthiest. Many of the well-to-do supporters of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo promised to flee the city if Mamdani was elected.
