Leni Klum is obsessed with LoveShackFancy.
“I love literally everything,” the model, interior design student and self-confessed nepo baby told Alexa at the cult brand’s show in its rose-festooned Fifth Ave. headquarters. “I came here to the showroom a few days ago to pick out my outfit. I found this one in two seconds and then just wanted to keep trying all the dresses on,” added the 20-year-old daughter of supermodel and television host Heidi Klum. “I love all the florals and all the different bedazzled dresses.”
She’ll find plenty of alluring outfits in the deliciously frilly and feminine LoveShackFancy collection. “My show was inspired by some beautiful French lingerie I found at the market, beautiful bias-cut vintage Dior dresses and a visit to Christian Dior’s atelier and his apartment in Paris,” said founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen. “I wanted to work in so many beautiful antique embellishments and laces and beautiful diaphanous chiffons.”
The show opened with singer and actor Paloma Chesky crooning songs while two ballerinas in floaty chiffon gowns twirled down the runway. Then came a magical array of beaded slithers, lace-trimmed slips, embellished miniskirts, floral gowns and eyelet dresses in candy-like pastels. Groups of precious little girls modeled mini versions of the sweet styles.
“[The clothes] are so cute,” said Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, attending her sixth or seventh show of New York Fashion Week after winning a gold medal and two bronze medals at the Paris Games. “They make me feel really confident. Any time I’m in LoveShack, it’s amazing.”
