Former NFL safety Tyrann Mathieu said he “tried everything in the books” to pass a drug test during his playing career at LSU, and recalled using “fake penises” and drinking bleach with Coca Cola.

During Tuesday’s installment of his “In The Bayou” podcast, Mathieu explained that he got severely sick after he drank Coca Cola that was topped with bleach, a recipe he discovered while “scrolling” Google.

“I done tried everything in the books. I’ve used other people’s urine, they got the fake penises. I’ll tell you a funny story, not funny because I could’ve died,” Mathieu said while he reminisced on his LSU days.

“But a couple tests before I realized they were going to kick me out of school… I’m on Google trying to figure out how the f–k and I going to pass this test They keep threatening me.

“I’m scrolling and I come across some s–t that says put some bleach on top of your Coca-Cola… and so I did that. It felt like my whole insides were erupting… I ended up throwing that s–t up. At that point I was like, ‘F–k it, I’ve run out of tricks.”

“I thought that was gonna save my life. It didn’t. It backfired.”

He did not divulge which substances he was trying to cover with the potentially deadly cocktail.

Mathieu, a 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist, spent two years at LSU from 2010-11.

The 5-foot-9 safety was dismissed from the team for “violation of team rules” just a week into preseason training camp during his junior year in 2012.

Mathieu and two other former Tigers players were arrested on drug-related charges in October 2012.

It led to his rehab stint to get clean from substance abuse before entering the 2013 NFL Draft.

In 26 games and 14 starts with the LSU, Matheiu created a total of 14 turnovers and scored four touchdowns.

Mathieu owns the school record of 11 forced fumbles, which is four more than the previous record.

The Arizona Cardinals would go on to select Matheiu in the third round, No. 69 overall.

In his 12 seasons NFL seasons he earned three Pro Bowl nods, and won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs after the 2019 season.

Mathieu announced his NFL retirement last July.
