The estranged wife of former star NFL linebacker Thomas Davis has been arrested for allegedly attacking a woman she believed was having an affair with her husband.

Kelly Davis is accused of hitting chiropractor Laura Watterson several times at her office in Charlotte, North Carolina on Aug. 26, accusing her of hooking up with Thomas, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

“As I tried to guide her out the door of my office, she hit me and knocked my glasses off then hit me again on the other side of the head,” Watterson alleged in the complaint.

A warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest on Aug. 29 and she was taken into custody on Sept. 3. She is charged with one count of misdemeanor assault and battery.

Her attorney told TMZ the allegations are “false.”

“We believe completely in Kelly’s innocence and we look forward to challenging the false allegations once we have a court date,” her lawyer James J. Exum said.

Kelly and Thomas Davis tied the knot in March 2008, but the pair split in March 2024 after she claimed the longtime Carolina Panther “engaged in illicit sexual conduct with at least six women other than” her while they were together, according to a court filing from February.

They have two children together, including Thomas Davis Jr., 17, who has committed to playing at Notre Dame next year, TMZ reported.

Davis, a first-round pick in the 2005 draft, was a 3-time Pro Bowler during his 15 NFL seasons, 13 of which were spent with the Panthers. He retired in 2021.
