This year’s US Open tournament is more than just a prestigious tennis competition — it’s also the set of a new dating series.

In July 2025, the US Open and Fresh Tape Media announced a new eight-part YouTube series, Game, Set, Matchmaker, which will air on the first official day of the tournament on August 24.

The show will follow eight couples on their first date at the US Open as they partake in different activities during Fan Week including silent disco and taking a tennis lesson.

In addition to the reality series, any US Open fan can participate in the Love at the US Open social media campaign. Couples who met through a mutual love of tennis can post their stories on their own social media pages using the hashtag LoveAtTheUSOpen. Fans also have a chance to share their love stories in “man-on-the-street” interviews conducted by influencers who will be around during the three week tournament.

“Game, Set, Matchmaker was always designed as a celebration of the fans, and as interest grew, so did the opportunity to expand the experience,” USTA’s Senior Director of Social Media, Jonathan Zipper, said in a statement. “‘Love at the US Open’ is now a broader invitation. By opening up the concept to feature multiple stories of connection, including Game, Set, Matchmaker, now following multiple couples on a first date at the US Open, we’re reflecting what the US Open truly represents: a global stage not only for sport, but for energy, emotion, and unexpected moments between people.”

Zipper added that the “Love at the US Open” concept is about “joy, chemistry, and the power of the Open to bring people together in ways that go beyond the court.”
