Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson have Taylor Swift’s back.
The sports journalists reacted to Swift being booed by Philadelphia Eagles fans at Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9, which the pop star attended to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
“I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f—ing gets booed at the Super Bowl. Get out of here,” Andrews, 46, said on the Tuesday, February 11, episode of her and Thompson’s “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa” podcast. “I love her. I love her.”
Fellow Fox Sports reporter Thompson, 42, agreed with Andrews, though she understood why fans at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans might not cheer for Swift.
“I love the [Eagles] fandom. Eagles are proud fans. They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team,” she reasoned.
Thompson continued, “Taylor, we all know Erin and I’s affinity for her. She handles everything so well. And so does Travis. He handles this so well. They both handle [things] with so much grace.”

Swift was briefly shown on the Jumbotron during the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday, eliciting a loud chorus of boos from Eagles fans.
Swift, 35, appeared confused, turning to friend Ice Spice to ask, “What’s going on?”
Swift’s friend Serena Williams quickly had the pop star’s back, taking her defense to X.
“I love you @taylorswift13,” Williams, 43, a noted Swiftie alongside daughter Olympia, wrote on Sunday. “Don’t listen to those booos!!”
Andrews, who was reporting on the field, also revealed on Tuesday’s podcast episode the sweet moment she shared with Kelce, 35, after he and the Chiefs lost 40-22 to the Eagles during Sunday’s game.
“I turned around and I walked up to him. I was like, ‘I don’t wanna bug him,’ but no, that’s our friend and this really sucks,” Andrews said. “I gave him a big hug and I was just like, ‘I love you, I’m so sorry.’ They’re humans too.”
Following Sunday’s defeat, Kelce admitted to reporters that the Chiefs lacked “spark” during the big game. “We haven’t played that bad all year,” Kelce said admitted. “[We] just couldn’t find that spark, couldn’t find that momentum.”
