The hits kept coming for Travis Kelce on Monday following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2025 flop against the Eagles, with a Philadelphia rival taunting the tight end with a crude message on social media.

In a post shared on his Instagram Stories, Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson — never one to hold back on the trash talk — added a photo of himself and Kelce from Sunday’s championship matchup that featured a vulgar caption seemingly suggesting Kelce “should’ve stayed” with his ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.

The three-time Super Bowl champion dated Nicole, a media personality, on-and-off for five years before calling it quits in 2022.

Kelce, 35, has since moved on with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

Since the couple confirmed their romance in 2023, every move they’ve made has dominated headlines, including this year’s Super Bowl when Swift, 35, watched from a starry suite at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Nicole, 33, was also in attendance for Sunday’s game, watching the Eagles’ 40-22 victory with Philadelphia supporters. Eagles fans gave Swift a frosty welcome at the Super Bowl.

NFL fans didn’t hesitate to call out Gardner-Johnson on Monday, stating his message is “nasty work” and “lame,” among other descriptors.

Entering Sunday’s game against the reigning champion Chiefs, Gardner-Johnson tallied a career-high six interceptions and 12 passes defended in 2024.

On his return trip to Philadelphia, where he spent the 2022 season before joining the Lions in free agency the following year, Gardner-Johnson said, “I think the way I play is overshadowed because I talk a lot of crap. Respectfully, I think the way I help lead this team is overlooked.”

Sunday’s win marked Gardner-Johnson’s first Super Bowl victory.

The Chiefs had been on the cusp of a historic Super Bowl three-peat before they imploded.

Kelce, who is currently at the center of retirement buzz, had four receptions for 39 yards.

The Chiefs previously defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl 2023.
