Georgia football great David Pollack shared an emotional update Thursday after his wife, Lindsey, underwent a six-hour surgery Wednesday amid her battle with brain cancer.
The former linebacker and ESPN analyst posted a video on X that featured his wife, whose head was wrapped in bandages, listening to Christian music while recovering in a hospital bed.
“My Babydoll’s morning after a 6+ hour surgery. I mean ain’t God good?” Pollack, 42, wrote.
Lindsey was seen lifting her right arm in the air and moving to the music.
Pollack revealed Monday in a separate note on X that his wife was having brain surgery for her cancer diagnosis.
“I do not share much of my personal life on social media but today is gonna be different,” Pollack wrote. “If you are the praying type please lift up my wife Lindsey. She has brain cancer and surgery is Wednesday at Duke. So thankful to serve a loving God that meets us in our struggles!”
In 2023, Pollack was laid off after 12 years at ESPN, which included an analyst role on the network’s “College GameDay” show.
After a historic career across three seasons at Georgia, Pollack was selected in the first-round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft.
He suffered a career-ending neck injury in his second NFL season.
Pollack hosts his podcast, “Family Goals Pod,” which focuses on family, faith, sports and more.
The couple and their two children, Nicholas and Leah, launched The Pollack Family Foundation in 2016 with a focus on faith, family and community.
