David Duchovny called Alec Baldwin a “biblical figure” after having a child and a grandchild in the same year — and Baldwin has fully embraced his new title.

During the Monday, December 16, episode of Duchovny’s “Fail Better” podcast, Baldwin, 66, shared that while he’s the father of eight, only seven of his children live at home. He explained that his eldest daughter, Ireland Baldwin, lives in the Pacific Northwest and is now a mother herself.

“She just had a baby, so I am a father and a grandfather in the same year,” Alec gushed to Duchovny, who was in awe of that feat.

The podcast host, 64, joked, “You’re like a biblical figure,” noting how unique it is for someone to become a father and grandfather in the span of just a few months.

“I’m gonna take that from you — I’m gonna say, ‘Duchovny said it best, I’m a biblical character,’” Alec responded. “I’m gonna quote you, man. I love that. That’s perfect.”

Alec welcomed Ireland, now 29, with ex-wife Kim Basinger in 1995. The 30 Rock alum and Basinger, 71, finalized their divorce in 2002 after nine years of marriage.

Alec moved on with wife Hilaria Baldwin, whom he wed in 2012. The couple have since welcomed seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 7, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, Maria, 3, and Ilaria, 2.

Despite the age difference, both Alec’s wife and oldest child announced their respective pregnancies in 2022.

Hilaria, 40, revealed in March that they were expecting another little one after welcoming baby No. 6 via surrogate in 2021. Hilaria gave birth to daughter Ilaria in September 2022.

Ireland, meanwhile, shared via Instagram in December 2022 that she and boyfriend RAC (real name André Allen Anjos) were expecting their first baby together. The couple welcomed their daughter, Holland, in May 2023, making her six months younger than Alec and Hilaria’s youngest.

Earlier this year, Ireland, 29, shared a series of Instagram photos from the moment Holland met her “aunts and uncles,” a.k.a. her seven younger siblings. The post included a video of Holland pulling one of the kid’s arms as another child ran across the room wearing a Spider-Man costume.

Ireland returned to New York City for a visit earlier this week, wandering Times Square with her dad and stepmom, according to Hilaria’s Instagram Story. “Family outing,” she captioned the clip shared on Monday, December 16.

In the video, Ireland walked with Alec and Hilaria and took in the lights in the Big Apple. Ireland later posted her own photos from the trip, teasing, “Holland might be a New Yorker 😵‍💫 Time to head home 🩷✨.”

Ireland featured snaps of her daughter looking at a large fireplace decorated with garland, bows and Christmas lights as well as a selfie of the mother-daughter duo bundled up for the cold weather.
