David Beckham might have two excellent feet, but he’s also got a bit of a green thumb.

Victoria Beckham shared a series of videos of her husband, 50, working on his garden in her Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 21. In the videos, Victoria follows David around the garden as he pulls out different vegetables he plans to use in a dinner recipe.

In one video, the pair are delighted and entertained by a split carrot (something Gardening Know How says could be caused by soil inconsistencies or even soil that is too rich). In a second and third, David pulls up garlic and onions and, in another video, Victoria audibly resists the urge to make jokes about a particularly impressive courgette (zucchini).

The videos offer a bit of a reprieve from the Beckham family amid the brood’s ongoing drama. David and Victoria have been estranged from their son Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, allegedly as the result of some lasting drama between Nicola, 30, and Victoria at her eldest son’s 2022 wedding. Brooklyn and his wife later skipped David’s 50th birthday party in May and seemingly ignored his recent knighthood.

Despite an estrangement from Brooklyn, however, David and Victoria included all four of their children in the family’s celebration on Father’s Day – that is, the online celebration.

“My most important and favorite job in life is being a dad,” David wrote via Instagram on June 15. “I’m so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day, I will always be here for you no matter what.”

He added, “Mummy, thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father. There is no greater gift in life than making me a dad. Happy Father’s Day. I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.”

David tagged the accounts of Brooklyn, 26, and younger sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and made a hashtag of daughter Harper’s name. (David and Victoria’s 13-year-old daughter does not have public social media accounts.)

Alongside his sentimental caption, the retired soccer star shared a handful of throwback photos of all four of his children — including Brooklyn. While Brooklyn has yet to publicly address the holiday, his brothers reacted to David’s post in the comments section.

“You mean the world to us and inspire us every single day, Dad, I love you,” Cruz wrote, while Romeo added, “Love you always.”
