One notable Celtics fan isn’t worried that Boston is trailing the Knicks by two games in their Eastern Conference second-round playoff series.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy isn’t concerned over how the series is playing out, still believing the Celtics can come out on top, as he expressed in a video he posted to X shortly after the game.

“Like maybe I’m being naive, I still think the Celtics are gonna win this series,” Portnoy said. “I just can’t wrap my brain around the Celtics losing to the Knicks, but I also can’t wrap my mind around them blowing 20-point leads in consecutive games. And going 4-for-100 from 3. [That] can’t continue. They shoot 3s, it’s a make-or-miss league. You can’t shoot that bad.”

The Celtics struggled from 3-point range for the second consecutive game — on top of blowing another 20-point lead, as Portnoy said.

Boston shot 10-for-40 from beyond the arc on Wednesday night after going 15-of-60 from there in Game 1.

Still, Portnoy was incredulous over the idea that the Celtics would lose the series in the end.

“Nah, there’s just no way they’re going to lose to the Knicks,” He continued. Down two, whatev — no.”

Portnoy had to sit through actor Jerry O’Connell ribbing him in person on Monday night when the Knicks came back to take Game 1 of the series, 108-105.

The viral video showed the pair together following Barstool’s Bet Gala in Scottsdale, Arizona, a play on the fashion event that takes place in New York City every year.

O’Connell told Portnoy, “Give me a hug,” but added, “Thank you for all you do.”

“What a day! Bing bong!” O’Connell screamed in Portnoy’s direction.

The Knicks take a 2-0 series lead back to New York for Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.

It will be interesting to see if Portnoy starts to change his tune if the Knicks come away with another win in that one.
