Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston was overjoyed to find himself in a football winter wonderland — which led to a very memorable pregame interview.

As Winston, 30, took the field at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland on Monday, November 21, for the Browns showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he stopped to chat with Prime Video sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung

“The horses prepare for battle, but victory comes from the Lord,” Winston told Hartung, 39. “So I’m depending on the Lord.”

As blustery weather began to pick up in Cleveland, Hartung asked Winston about how the difficult conditions might impact his game. As Hartung spoke, a wide smile started creeping across Winston’s face.

“I am so happy and grateful that the Lord has blessed me to play in some snow,” Winston gushed. “To be in true football weather in Cleveland, Ohio at Huntington Bank Field today, to give him the glory. It’s a beautiful day.”

Winston told Hartung it was a “magical” environment, which proved to be even more true as a blizzard would later strike the game, creating for some indelible images. The Browns would ultimately emerge victorious, upsetting the first-place Steelers 24-19.

The rapturous pregame interview from Winston caught the attention of plenty of inspired viewers at home, including ESPN’s Adam Schefter

Schefter posted the interview clip via X and wrote, “Jameis Winston can talk pregame, halftime or postgame anytime he wants.”

I want him to give my eulogy,” another X user commented.

After the game, Winston was seen making snow angels in the middle of the field before Prime Video cameras caught him providing another viral moment.

“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!” Winston said while walking off the field holding a giant stuffed teddy bear. “Cleveland Browns got some mo’ wins, baby! Let’s get it!”

In his postgame press conference, Winston — who took over the Browns starting job last month after a season-ending injury to quarterback Deshaun Watson — described what it was like playing in such a crazy environment, especially as his team almost choked the game away.

“It really was amazing,” he said. “I was just praying on the sideline because that fourth quarter was a whole paradigm shift. We were playing so well offensively and then – bang, bang – back-to-back drives with turnovers and I’m just like, ‘Oh my gosh. This is really a NFL Films moment.’”

Winston continued, “The snow starts pouring down. I felt like my feet started getting heavy because I’m squishing through the snow. Man, it was so good. It was so great to end up getting that win.”

The Browns return to action Monday, December 2, against the Denver Broncos.
