Ciara Miller is not a fan of how Danielle Reyes is playing The Traitors so far.
“I was kind of disgusted that she was a traitor,” the Summer House star, 29, said in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Friday, February 14, following her banishment from the game. “I just didn’t respect her game-playing.”
Ciara claimed that in some moments that weren’t shown on the competition series, Danielle, 53, would swear on her family members to strengthen her point.
“There were some off-camera swearing on kids, grandkids or whatever, and I just didn’t feel like the stakes were that high,” she claimed. “Granted, I don’t play game shows for a living, so I don’t know, but it just felt ridiculous to me.”
In addition to making sworn statements, Ciara was not impressed with Danielle’s acting skills as she would constantly cry when a murder occurred in the game.
“The tears were a lot. And I’m like, ‘These people aren’t actually dead,’” she said. “And then come to find out [she’s a traitor] like, Bitch, you’re doing the killing.”
While in the castle, Ciara shared that she was suspicious of Danielle and her pal Britney Haynes. (Both Danielle and Britney, 37, competed on multiple seasons of Big Brother.)
“Well, I was thinking either one of them was a traitor,” Ciara told Us of Danielle and Britney. “For a long time, I thought Danielle was a traitor.”
However, Ciara started to suspect Britney more after Danielle started “buddying up” to her. One person Ciara did not have on her radar was Carolyn Wiger. She confessed that she was “genuinely shocked” that the Survivor star was a traitor.
Ciara’s time in Alan Cumming’s castle came to an end during the Thursday, February 13, episode. She was banished at the roundtable after the “coffin theory” was being floated around again by Sam Asghari.
Earlier in the season, Ciara, Nikki Bella and Jeremy Collins were placed in coffins. Jeremy was murdered, proving he was a faithful. Nikki, for her part, was voted out of the game and revealed she was a faithful as well. The remaining players were convinced that a traitor was in the coffin and therefore believed Ciara was a traitor. Despite defending herself, she was voted out and proved to the players that they were wrong yet again.
“I was just like, this is literally the same scenario, season two. Are you guys dumb?” she said recalling how season 2 traitor Parvati Shallow was in a coffin for a similar challenge. “I was like, why would they repeat season two and season three?”
Ciara confessed that she was “surprised” that everyone “voted for” her especially when rogue votes were constantly being thrown out at other roundtables.
“There were so many nights where people were throwing out rogue votes, and then when it came to me, no one threw out a rogue vote,” she told Us. “And I was just like, ‘This is ridiculous.’ Like every other night, you’ve thrown out a random person. But then tonight you don’t. Then it’s like people being like, ‘I don’t think you’re a traitor, but I’m still voting for you.’”
New episodes of The Traitors will be released on Peacock Thursdays until March 6.
