Christina Haack and Joshua Hall look loved up in new episodes of Christina in the Country that were filmed prior to their ongoing divorce.
In the first episode of the HGTV series’ second season, which premiered on Tuesday, November 12, Joshua, 43, appeared in multiple scenes, including the opener. It starts with Joshua blending a smoothie for his estranged wife inside their Newport Beach home in California. “Tell me how delicious it is,” he says to Christina, 41, before they clink their glasses.
The second season of Christina in the Country follows Christina, who filed for a dissolution of the pair’s marriage on July 15 according to paperwork obtained by Us Weekly, expanding her interior design work from the sand and surf of California to country life in Tennessee.
“I have some good news,” Christina is heard saying after she takes a sip from Joshua’s smoothie. “I know how much you love Tennessee. I’ve gotten some inquiries lately, and a few of them are really good, so I feel like it’s time that we go back there.”
Joshua, who filed his own paperwork on July 15 and listed the date of their split as July 8, is seen responding enthusiastically, “Oh, it’s been time,” before the pair discuss the logistics of their move. Joshua indicates that he’d try to “find some flips” to make “quick profit” in Tennessee, while Christina focuses on her own work.
Joshua is also seen in the reality series’ title sequence as he and Christina ride quad bikes through a forest as the show’s theme song plays.
Less than 10 minutes later, Joshua reappears to join Christina as the pair inspect a house to consider buying and flipping. In the scene, Christina brings a rooster to greet Joshua, which Joshua begins to pat as he prepares to drive to the property’s location. They are then filmed discussing the house’s details before they meet Christina’s real estate agent friend, Nick. “Apparently this is our new assistant,” Joshua playfully tells Nick before the pair jump into their inspection.
Further scenes depict the couple as equally cozy, including one where Christina and Joshua talk about the flip (which they end up purchasing) at one of their favorite restaurants and another where Christina and Joshua are sitting together on a couch by a fireplace and Joshua’s hand is draped behind Christina’s back.
Us confirmed in August that Joshua, who married Christina in a secret ceremony in April 2022 before tying the knot a second time in Hawaii more than one year later, had moved out of the Newport Beach home they shared during their marriage.
According to docs obtained by Us at the time, Joshua wanted to divide their assets, which includes the Newport Beach property and rights to Christina’s HGTV series. Christina and Josh were also in the process of filming a new HGTV show titled The Flip Off with Christina’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.
A source confirmed on November 7 that Christina’s ex-husband Ant Anstead will join her in filming a portion of The Flip Off.
