Britney Spears‘ final post before entering rehab showed her dancing in a thong bodysuit.
Spears, 44, took to Instagram on Sunday, April 12, to show herself dancing to Cardi B, J Balvin and Bad Bunny’s “I Like It” while wearing a sheer black thong bodysuit, red hat and knee-high black boots. At certain points in the video, Spears slapped her butt as she showed off her bare back.
A rep for Spears later confirmed to Us Weekly that the singer voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility.
Spears was recently arrested for a DUI in March, with 911 audio claiming she was driving “in and out of lanes” and speeding. A call operator noted that Spears’ vehicle was “erratic[ly] braking, swerving and driving with no tail light.” She was released from custody shortly after being booked.
“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,” a spokesperson for Spears told Us in a statement after her release. “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
The rep continued: “Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.”
Spears, who shares sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, spent time with her kids after her arrest. Her DUI is one of many ups and downs she’s faced in the public eye. Spears was previously placed under a conservatorship, which was officially terminated in 2021.
“The main reason why I’m here is because I want to end the conservatorship without being evaluated,” she said during a court hearing at the time. “I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years, and it’s enough.”
After her conservatorship came to an end, Spears married her boyfriend of six years, Sam Asghari, but they split in August 2023 after 13 months of marriage.
“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” Asghari, 32, wrote via an Instagram Story statement at the time. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.”
Spears later moved on with Paul Richard Soliz, who was present when she was allegedly escorted out of the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles in May 2024. Photos surfaced at the time of Spears walking out of the hotel alongside Soliz while wrapped in a blanket. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed at the time that police were not called. (Spears and Soliz have since called it quits.)
