The Mets’ fight arrived in the seventh.

During a game they were being shut out through six and a half disappointing innings, the Mets may have taken offense to Sandy Alcántara hitting Mark Vientos with a pitch, leading to both benches and bullpens emptying but nothing more.

With a runner on first and no one out during a game the Mets trailed, 5-0, the Marlins ace grazed Vientos with a 90.4 mph changeup.

Vientos and Alcántara locked eyes and exchanged words as Alcántara continued walking toward the Mets DH, separated by home plate umpire Austin Jones.

An animated Alcántara kept talking and had to be held back as Vientos slowly walked his way toward first base, not reaching the bag before the entire rosters of the Mets and Marlins were huddled around the mound.

There were some seemingly angry words said and some friendly ones, a few hugs exchanged.

But no punches or shoves were seen, and order was shortly restored.
