Aaron Rodgers had a testy exchange with a fan he claimed was an “autograph hound” while at the American Century Championship celebrity tournament in Lake Tahoe on Thursday.

While signing autographs on the course at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, the new Steelers quarterback went back and forth with a male fan who said he attended a Packers-Saints game “20 years ago.”

The man had a ticket from Green Bay’s 52-3 win over the Saints in 2005, when Rodgers was a backup for Brett Favre, who went 19-for-27 for 215 yards and tossed three touchdowns.

“I remember the score, it was a blowout,” the fan said.

“Who’d we play?” Rodgers, 41, asked, and the fan replied correctly, saying New Orleans.

“Yeah, it’s on the ticket,” Rodgers said, pointing to the stub.

The fan incorrectly guessed the score by two points, saying 50-3.

“And I played?” Rodgers retorted.

“One pass though,” the fan responded. “I remember you threw a pass … I don’t remember it like that, I was 16, 20 years ago.”

Rodgers did complete one pass during that game.

“I remember,” the four-time MVP said of whom he connected with on that pass, to which the fan complimented his “great memory.”

Rodgers added that you can “look it up,” referring to the game stats.

“You can look it up though, and I would believe you then I would sign your thing,” Rodgers said, “but since I don’t believe you, I’m not going to sign it.”

The fan, who insisted he was at that game, looked disappointed and started walking away.

“I was at the game,” the fan said dejectedly.

“No, you’re an autograph hound,” Rodgers said.

The fan replied that Rodgers could personalize the autograph, which limits the potential resale value, but Rodgers sticked to his point.

“You’re an autograph hound,” Rodgers said while a “no” could be heard in the backkground.

“Yeah, you are. You can’t fool me. Can’t fool me.”

Rodgers is among many star athletes in Tahoe this weekend for the annual celebrity golf tournament including Warriors guard Steph Curry and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
