Olivia Flowers is on cloud nine thinking about her upcoming wedding to Alex Williams — but she’s not sure if her Southern Charm castmates will make the guest list.
“It’s overwhelming,” Flowers, 32, exclusively confessed to Us Weekly on Tuesday, December 10, about the wedding planning process.
The reality star got real with Us about her tentative plans while attending Kathy Hilton’s DirecTV Christmas Party in Los Angeles, saying she’s “only barely scraped the surface” with what needs to be done. “We’re just kind of staying in the engagement bliss for right now,” Flowers explained.
Although she and Williams don’t have much set following their September engagement, Flowers said she has been going back and forth about the guest list.
“It depends where we do it,” she said when asked if any of her former Southern Charm costars will make the cut. “If we’re gonna do it more local, of course [some will be invited]. But if we do destination, it’ll probably be a little bit more intimate.”
Flowers had many ups and downs with the Southern Charm cast during her two seasons on the show, joining during season 8 while dating Austen Kroll. After their split in fall 2022, Flowers remained on the series for season 9 where she found herself at the center of the drama.
The season documented the aftermath of Flowers and Kroll’s breakup as well as the fallout from Taylor Ann Green and Shep Rose’s summer 2022 split. When Kroll, 37, eventually confessed to kissing Green, 30, while still talking to Flowers, the two women dissolved their friendship.
However, both Green and Flowers exclusively told Us this month that they are no longer feuding — but they aren’t exactly friends either. “We haven’t been around each other really much,” Flowers said on Tuesday, explaining they are “on the same page of, like, if the time comes to circle back, we will.”
Green, meanwhile, revealed earlier this month that Flowers reached out to her ahead of filming season 10. (Flowers announced in July that she was not returning to the show.)
“I allowed that space and time for her to reach out to me if she was ready or wanting or willing, and so she did, and I think we’re good,” Green told Us.
She noted that while she is “disappointed” Flowers isn’t on the show this year, she is happy for her and Williams’ engagement. “I think [in] hindsight, it worked out for the best and everything happens for a reason,” Green added. “It’ll be nice for her to always have that [and just say], ‘I had that experience and maybe didn’t end on the best note.’ But she’s well loved.”
It’s unknown which Southern Charm stars will be on-hand to celebrate when Flowers says, “I do,” but for now, the bride-to-be is happy she found The One.
Flowers and Williams began dating in May 2023 after meeting at a wedding in Texas. She gushed over her then-boyfriend a year later in honor of their anniversary.
“After arriving late to a wedding (& tripping up the church stairs) I was met by a handsome usher to take me to my seat,” Flowers recalled via Instagram in May. “Later, that same usher asked my date (my dad) if he could dance with me … A year later and we’re still dancing 🪩 (and tripping up stairs). Cheers to stage 5 clinging.”
Five months later, Flowers announced that Williams proposed in September during her work trip to New York City.
“‘Engagement photos are corny.’ — Me … a week ago,” she captioned a series of Instagram pictures in October from the magical moment. “It was perfection. Thank you all for this unforgettable PROPOSAL… WHAT?! I love you, especially you Alexander 😘.”
