If we were to pick the most-anticipated show on Amazon Prime Video for 2025, it would be Fallout season 2.

Unfortunately, that series won’t be making its return until December 12. So we’ll just have to find something else to name No. 1 for the fall.

Now that the seasons have changed, Watch With Us has named its five most-anticipated Prime Video movies and shows of fall 2025.

Some of our picks are arriving sooner than you may think, but you’ll have to keep your eyes out for the others.

5. ‘Play Dirty’ (2025)

Play Dirty – Official Trailer | Prime Video

Director Shane Black‘s new movie, Play Dirty, is skipping theaters and heading to Prime Video this week. The film is loosely based on Richard Stark‘s Parker novels, with Mark Wahlberg starring as Parker and LaKeith Stanfield as his ally, Grofield.

Parker is about to take his shot at the heist of a lifetime, but first he has to deal with Zen (Rosa Salazar), the woman who crossed him and murdered his last crew. Black has assembled a terrific cast for this movie, including supporting performances by Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Shalhoub, Chukwudi Iwuji, Nat Wolff, Thomas Jane and Gretchen Mol. This looks like it could be a streaming sleeper hit.

Play Dirty will stream on Prime Video on October 1.

4. ‘John Candy: I Like Me’ (2025)

John Candy passed away over three decades ago, but he remains beloved by the people who knew and acted alongside him. Candy was one of the funniest actors of his generation, but the stories that have endured about him highlight his kindness and warmth. Colin Hanks‘ new documentary, John Candy: I Like Me, features rare footage of the late actor and archival interviews.

It also features new interviews with a stellar lineup including Tom Hanks, Bill Murray, Mel Brooks, Dan Aykroyd, Steve Martin and more as they share their remembrances of Candy alongside the actor’s son and daughter, Chris and Jennifer Candy.

John Candy: I Like Me will stream on Prime Video on October 10.

3. ‘Malice’ (2025)

Jack Whitehall plays Adam Healey in Malice, and he’s a man on a mission of revenge. Adam has ingratiated himself with the wealthy Tanner family, and now works as a “manny” for the three children of Jamie (David Duchovny) and Nat (Carice van Houten). And he’s in a unique position to destroy their lives from within.

Why does Adam hate the Tanners so much? That’s one of the central mysteries of the miniseries. Most of that info is under wraps, but there have been hints about a twist that will turn this show on its ear.

Malice‘s streaming premiere date on Prime Video is TBD.

2. ‘Harlan Coben’s Lazarus’ (2025)

It just wouldn’t be fall without a fresh adaptation of a Harlan Coben book. The Lazarus novel was cowritten by Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, and the TV adaptation places Sam Clafin in the title role as Joel Lazarus.

Joel has returned to his hometown following the suicide of his father, Jonathan Lazarus (Bill Nighy). Before Joel can settle his family’s affairs, he’s drawn into a cold case investigation that may be connected to both his father’s death and the murder of his sister 25 years ago.

Harlan Coben’s Lazarus will stream on Prime Video on October 22.

1. ‘Cross’ (2024 – Present)

The second season of Cross is expected to premiere this year, but Prime Video hasn’t confirmed a date or even a time frame. While this series may slip into winter, it’s still worth re-watching ahead of time. For this version of James Patterson‘s hero, Aldis Hodge has stepped into the role of Alex Cross, one of the most gifted forensic psychologists and detectives on the Washington, D.C. police force.

Since Prime Video hasn’t shared any story details about season 2 yet, the only thing we know is that Wes Chatham, Matthew Lillard and Jeanine Mason have been added to the cast. But if season 2 is anything like the first season, it should be another wild ride.

Cross season 1 is streaming on Prime Video. Season 2’s premiere date is TBD.
