The Browns will welcome the 49ers to Cleveland on Saturday.

With winter in full swing, conditions are going to be tough at Huntington Bank Field.

Weather forecasters are calling for morning rain to change over to snow showers in the afternoon near game time.

Temperatures will top out around 38 degrees and winds will be swirling up to 35 miles per hour.

In this type of environment, I’m not expecting the Browns to put the ball into the hands of Shedeur Sanders a ton in his second career NFL start.

Instead, I’m looking for Quinshon Judkins to get a ton of handoffs as Cleveland looks to protect the ball.

Judkins hasn’t been as explosive of late as he was during his first few career games earlier this season, but he gets a good matchup against injury-depleted 49ers defense.

Over their past three games, San Francisco has allowed 373 total yards per game, which is the 7th-most in football over that stretch.

In recent weeks, the Browns have also begun utilizing Judkins in the wildcat formation, giving the rookie running back even more opportunities for looks.

Veteran ball carrier Jerome Ford will miss the game with a hamstring injury, leaving the backfield for Judkins and fellow rookie Dylan Sampson.

Betting on the NFL?

With the latter used more often on passing downs, look for Judkins to get the bulk of the yards on the ground on Sunday.

The play: Quinshon Judkins to have more than 65.5 rushing yards (-110, BetRivers Sportsbook)
