Casual fans may not realize just how rare it is for a TV series to hit 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Even Netflix‘s acclaimed fantasy series, The Sandman, came up short with only 84 percent as it drops its second and final season this month.

To find the best of the best, Watch With Us has reviewed the recent additions to the streamer’s library and recommends watching these three new Netflix shows with a rating of at least 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Unsurprisingly, all three series originally came from outside of Netflix, but subscribers get to enjoy these shows for months to come.

‘Portlandia’ (2011 – 2018)

Season One - Portlandia on IFC

Rotten Tomatoes rank: 94 percent

Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein don’t play every role in the sketch comedy series Portlandia, but they do appear in almost every sketch as increasingly bizarre characters who live in and around Portland, Oregon. This show isn’t meant to be mean-spirited towards the eccentric folks in the Pacific Northwest, but it does mercilessly mock them at times.

Throughout eight seasons, several prominent guest stars got in on the fun, including Aubrey Plaza, Olivia Wilde, Jane Lynch, Tim Robbins, Ed Begley Jr., Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig and more. If you don’t know who is guest-starring ahead of time, the cameos will definitely catch you by surprise.

‘Mr. Robot’ (2015 – 2019)

Rotten Tomatoes rank: 94 percent

Rami Malek won an Emmy for Best Actor in a Drama for his turn as Elliot Alderson in Mr. Robot. Forget everything you know about USA Network originals, because Mr. Robot is nothing like the shows that came before or after it. This dark cyberpunk thriller truly stands on its own, although it does take a lot from a certain late ’90s movie.

Christian Slater plays Mr. Robot, the leader of a hacker collective called fsociety. Elliot is Mr. Robot’s latest recruit, and an accomplished hacker in his own right. Mr. Robot’s plans to redistribute wealth on a massive scale appeals to Elliot’s sense of justice, but there are certain things about fsociety and Elliot himself that just don’t add up. Once Elliot goes looking for answers, he may come to regret it.

‘Sneaky Pete’ (2015 – 2019)

Rotten Tomatoes rank: 96 percent

For one of his first post-Breaking Bad projects, Bryan Cranston cocreated Sneaky Pete with House‘s David Shore. The series originally ran for three seasons on Prime Video and featured Giovanni Ribisi as Marius Josipović, a con artist who shared his cell with a very chatty prisoner named Pete Murphy (Ethan Embry).

Cranston plays Vince Lonigan, a dangerous criminal who wants payback on Marius. To escape Vince’s wrath, Marius steals Pete’s identity upon his release from prison and goes on to ingratiate himself with Pete’s grandparents, Audrey (Margo Martindale) and Otto Bernhardt (Peter Gerety), and his cousins, who run a bail bond business. Pete’s family believes that Marius is who he says he is, but he may have to steal a fortune from them to get Vince off his back.
