Summer is almost over, and the first day of fall is September 22.
But if you want to feel a chill in your blood ahead of them, then have we got a trio of thrillers for you.
The Watch With Us team has selected three must-watch thriller movies that are perfect to stream in the fall.
All three of these picks were recently added to their respective streamers Prime Video, HBO Max and Hulu, and they may make you glad to enjoy the changing season without enduring such deadly circumstances.
‘The Shallows’ (2016)
Blake Lively bites off more than she can handle in The Shallows. And if she’s not careful, something is going to take a bite out of her. Lively plays Nancy Adams, a young woman mourning the death of her mother. While surfing at a remote beach in Mexico, Nancy is all alone when she’s attacked by a vicious shark.
Although Nancy survives her initial encounter with the shark, she finds herself trapped on a rock island in the ocean. Her newfound friends aren’t as lucky, and Nancy needs to find a solution before her tiny sanctuary disappears with the tide.
The Shallows is streaming on Hulu.
‘Seven’ (1995)
Director David Fincher‘s Seven is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month. Somehow, the studio has never released John Doe lunch baskets with a special surprise for back-to-school students. The aforementioned John Doe (Kevin Spacey) is a serial killer who has been inspired to murder seven people in ways that evoke the seven deadly sins.
Detectives David Mills (Brad Pitt) and William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) race to follow the clues, even as Mills tries to build a life with his wife, Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow). There are some truly disturbing deaths in the film, but none more so than the two at the very end.
Seven is streaming on HBO Max.
‘Savages’ (2012)
Blake Lively also has a central role in director Oliver Stone‘s Savages. Lively plays Ophelia Sage, the girlfriend of cannabis growers John “Chon” McAllister Jr. (Taylor Kitsch) and Ben Leonard (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The trio has a good life together until a Mexican drug cartel forces its way into their lives.
Cartel enforcer Miguel “Lado” Arroyo (Benicio del Toro) and his boss, Elena “La Reina” Sánchez (Salma Hayek), won’t take no for an answer. When Ben and Chon are reluctant to partner with the cartel, Ophelia is kidnapped and tortured. To get her back, Ben and Chon will have to cross every line and burn every bridge they have.
Savages is streaming on Prime Video.
